Registered in 2014, KASTHEW Construction Uganda Ltd has delivered infrastructure projects across the East-African region including very daring places in Butembo – D.R.Congo ranging from; Building-construction, Road-construction, Earth-moving works, Water-systems & Pipeline Works, Drilling (Water & Geotech projects), Environmental assessment as well as Hydro-power projects.
The company has in the past invested in the process of staff-development (training) to acquire external experience, thus leading to professional excellence and meeting our clients’ projects demand. This has led to building a long-term cordial relationship with our clients across the construction sector.

Water Borehole Drilling
In response to the rapid demand in the Ugandan & Rwanda’s water and contruction sector and building industry, KASTHEW Constractors Uganda Ltd has developed into a full-service water and geotech service company, establishing itself as a leader in the civil works sector across the Ugandan and Rwandan markets. Kasthew Constractors Uganda Ltd operates within Ugandan & Rwanda’s (East Africa), and hopes to open up branches in Tanzania and Burundi soon. KASTHEW Constractors Uganda Ltd has in the recent years been engaged in a broad range of projects inclusive among others.
Underground Diamond Core Drilling
KASTHEW Drilling and Mining Contracting Company provides diamond-drilling services to Ugandan, and East African mining houses. We extract underground core samples that mine geologists use to determine reef location and ore quality. The mines base their development planning on these samples, which in turn, determines the mine’s economic viability.
Solar Water Distribution Projects
KASTHEW CONTRACTORS UGANDA LTD has engaged in mega water distribution projects for small townships in Uganda. Among these include installation of 300,000 litre storage capacity steel tanks and towers/ stand installed to a height of 40ft. These have capacity of serving an area of over 100,000 people.
Diamond Core Drilling for Mining Exploration
KASTHEW uses a drilling method known as continuous coring for mining exploration. In this method the core produced by the cutting action of the bit goes straight into the rod string. Water is pumped down to the bit on the outside of the rod string and returns to the drill via the inside of the rods. The water pressure from the return water is enough to push the core to the top of the rod string where it is retrieved by the driller. Continuous coring results in much higher levels of productivity as there is no down-time when core is retrieved from the core barrel. It is important to note that continuous coring works very well in relatively homogeneous rock formations such as those found in the East Africa. It is not successful as a technique in badly fractured and faulted ground.
